A fun weekend with my parents

So I know we haven't updated our blog in a while so I'm going to blog about things that happened last month:) My parents came to visit us in October. We had a great weekend eating great food, visiting and just having fun. Friday we went to Sara's doctors appointment. She grew a whole inch since last appointment but actually lost weight so the doctor told us to come back in 6 weeks to recheck her weight. Then we went to check out a house that we put an offer on (but later didn't get, we didn't really have a chance since there were 6 offers on that house. Wont go into it that's a whole different post). We also went to the Marina Park which is at the beach. This is the tower that we went up on. It was scary for me. The amazing thing is that my dad climbed it with his cruches!
Saturday we went to check out where Chris works. Sara had fun in dads office. Chris showed us around and we even went up into the Bell Tower which was really scary for me because we had to go up 110ft in the air. Coming down I decided to use the stairs inside the tower. Even though it was scary the view was incredible! After that we drove to downtown LA to have lunch with my Sister Susannah and her now fiance. She picked a cute french bistro that had the best chocolate mousse I have tasted. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water.
Sadly Sunday came to fast and it was time for my parents to go home. We had a great time visiting and we hope they enjoyed their stay so they will come back soon!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year. Friday we went to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat party. Sara dressed up as a mouse (and a cute one I might say so myself) and I was the Cat. We should of dressed up Chris as cheese:) She didn't really get the point of getting the candy. She kept handing out her candy to others, such a sweetie. Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch. We looked at the animals, got to go on a hay ride and pick out pumpkins. When Grandma Jean came the weekend before she gave Sara a couple of great books and one of them was an animal book. Sara says Moo to every animal she sees but when she saw the duck she said Quack! So cute. She was so funny when she picked out her pumpkin. She wanted to pick them up but some of them were too heavy so she kind of rolled them. For trick-or-treating we went to the mall. For Sara being so young I thought it was great because we didn't have to go from house to house just store to store:) It was fun and we enjoyed eating her candy. Hehe While I was at a store Chris gave some of the candy to Sara and I think looking at this picture she enjoyed it. We were too tired to carve the pumpkins that night so we did it on Sunday for our FHE. I toasted the pumpkin seed and they were addicting and delicious.
