Sara Eating and Singing

This was Sara's first time eating a biscuit. (it was taped a while ago) It was so funny watching her eating it because it took her a while to get it in her mouth. We are so glad we got it on camera. Every time we watch it we laugh. Enjoy=)

Happy 8th Month Birthday Sara

Wow I cant believe my baby is 8 months old already. When I think about it last time this year I was going to the hospital to get an emergency cerclage, and was beginning my 16 weeks of bed rest. The bed rest was worth the wait for our wonderful daughter. She brings so much joy into our lives. I am grateful she is a happy, beautiful and healthy little girl. Last month for the first time we got professional photos done for Sara. They turned out so well we couldn't decide on which ones to get so we ended up with a lot of variety. We will cherish them for a long time.

We are moving!

Since Chris is such a good worker, he was offered a promotion and we gladly excepted it. He is going to be an Assistant Superintendent and going to work on a job site (San Roque School, picture above) in Santa Barbara. Chris is really looking forward getting out of the office. We are going to live in Ventura which is 40 minutes away from Santa Barbara but a lot cheaper. Last weekend we went up there to look at apartments. It was heartbreaking for me because I love where we live now. I can walk anywhere (shopping, library, etc)

We found a town home that has 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bath for the same price as are current 1 bed 1 bath apartment. It is a across from Von's, which made me a little happier. It doesn't have everything we want but it will do, (we don't have a washer/dryer in unit and no real space for dinning) Its hard to start over yet again with finding new doctors, friends and play dates but I know in the end it was a good decision for us. The area is beautiful and we live really close to the beach, but the prices make it even better:)

Sara likes to eat, eat eat.....

So I know we haven't posted for a while now, so we need to update all of you on how we are doing. (I have been trying to do this post for 3 days now, so I decided to make it short but you can still the story from the pictures)

Sara started to eat solids. Daddy fed her for the very first time on January 1st. Her very first food was rice cereal. Since then she has tried sweet potatoes, bananas, applesauce, pears, peaches, oat cereal, graham crackers, teething biscuits and cheerios. One food item that she doesn't like is peas. One thing that we haven't enjoyed in all of this is her change in diapers, but glad that there are no more blow outs.

Sara loves her new high chair. She can play, eat and sit with us at dinner time, so she feels more included. (More photo's to come later)
