Sara learns to drive her Jeep

This is for Uncle Kurt. She still needs to learn how to steer but doing good on driving by herself! She cant wait to show off her skills when you come:)

Another Milestone for Sara

Well Sara continues to climb! This morning she climbed out of her crib for the very first time. It is a a very sad day! We were hoping she would stay in the crib a little longer. We tried the toddler bed before and it was a huge battle putting her down. She was a little scared after climbing out so maybe she will hesitate for a little bit:)

Dollar Shoes

A week ago Sara snagged her big toe on the front door step and its now coming off. Since its summer still we only have sandals with open toes. She trips a lot and that is not helping her toe heal so we decided to get her new pair of shoes. We went to Payless and these shoes are the only ones she would try on (that was a good sign). Well they didn't have the size that we wanted so they gave us a coupon for $3 off when we go to the other store that had it. Well we went to the other store and they were on sale! 7 bucks!!!! We used the coupon so it was only $4. We came home and off course she wanted to wear them. I noticed that they were a little too big so since she only wore them at home for like 5 min we returned them to the store that was by our house. Sadly they didn't have the half size smaller so once again they gave us a coupon for $3 off. So next day we went to the other (3rd store) and got them!!!! Yay. Since we paid $4 bucks for them with the $3 coupon we got the money back!!! I was so excited, it did make me go to 3 stores but for dollar shoes I will do that again!

This is probably one of the best gifts that Sara got for her birthday. Uncle Kurt gave this cute jeep to Sara. She doesn't quite get how to work it but still loves to play with it. If she could she would play with the jeep all day long. Well since moving to our new ward we have had a big change. We now have lots of kids that live close to us. One of them is in Sara's nursery class. His name is Collin. Sara loves to play with him. He is a year older than Sara. This is Collin giving Sara a ride on his "ride" The other kid in this picture wanted to ride with Collin but he wouldn't let him because he only wanted Sara to ride with him! They are so cute!!!!!

Well we had Collin and his family over for dinner and FHE on Monday and this is what we did for our activity: Collin drove Sara around in her "ride" but she had fun just chasing after him and riding on the back of the jeep.

One, Two JUMP

Lately Sara has been climbing everything. The other day we went to Target and Sara climbed out of the cart (which was thankfully next to a counter) well she climbed on the counter in the pharmacy and almost went over the counter.

We were eating dinner and look over to see Sara doing this. This is her first time jumping from one furniture to another. I guess from all the climbing she has been doing lately this was coming:)

Sara Is 2 Years Old!

Sara turned 2 on Sunday July 18th! Since it was Sunday we went to church. Sara's favorite part of church is nursery. We have the best nursery leader:) Sara is the only girl with 4 boys in the class. For her birthday the nursery leader brought her a cake. So basically the whole day was about Sara and I think she liked that:) After we had a quick cat nap and had dinner with just our little family. After our neighbor friends came over (they are a Russian family) So Sara opened her gifts and then we sang happy birthday to her. She was so excited about every gift! From opening the gift to playing with it then going on to the next one. It was so much fun watching her.

We did have a party for her. I just couldn't let her not have one because she just loves to play with other kids so much! Sadly I was charging the battery for the camera and forgot to put it back in the camera so we have no pictures from the party. But I did take a picture of the cute sandwiches I made for the party. The butterfly is cheese and ham and the flower was pb&j. We had balloons, cupcakes, lots of bubbles (which Sara just loves to play with!) and good friends to play with:) Happy Birthday Sara!!! WE love you our sweat baby girl.

Post #100 Lets Dance!!!!!

Lately Sara's favorite movie is Madagascar. That is the only thing she wants to watch all day! Well the other movie that she likes is Strawberry Shortcake Dance and Little Einstein. I have watched this movie so many times I can see it in my sleep. So for her birthday we got her Madagascar 2 to spice it up. Well no matter how hard we try to watch other movies we still end up watching Madagascar! One of the good things about this movie is seeing Sara dance! She is so cute when she dances:) (Sorry the video is blurry, Chris taped it on his phone)

Sara loves playing in the water. This is her sneaking her toes in the water. She has been begging all day to go outside and swim. Sadly it Sunday so we had some trouble with her their. Trying to explain to a two year old why we don't swim on the Sabbath is not that easy!

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We are having a blast! Good thing we are here for the whole week:) and the best part is being with my whole family!

Richins Reunion at Sunset Beach California

Sunset State Beach, Ca We went to Sunset Beach State park last week for our family reunion. We had so much fun with everyone. We spent 4 days together and here are some of the things we did:

All the grand kids with Grandpa and Grandma Richins Me and Chris went to San Francisco for half a day Sara loves to play with her cousin Olivia. They took turns pushing each other in the stroller. Sara got so excited when she saw Olivia play with it one time, so she started to run to her. Well Olivia just bolted knowing that Sara wanted to play with the stroller. It was fun to see them play together. They did pretty well sharing. Olivia's Turn

Well this is a funny story. Chris was showing the kids a caterpillar. Knowing my daughter I told him to keep her away from the bug. Everyone was oohing and awing. Well Sara with a big grin on her face just totally stomped on it. I mean hard. All the kids were sad. Katie kept telling us over and over that Sara killed it with a really sad face. Oh boy that was something!

I was glad we got to sleep in our camper instead of in a tent because it was so cold! We did get sunshine but only for a couple of hours in the afternoon. I was very happy to be by the fire, but hated that I smelled like smoke. We had such a good time with everyone that everything else was not a big deal! We cant wait to see everyone again in 2 years. Hopefully we will see at least some of you before that!

Now tomorrow we are off to my family reunion in North Carolina. Hello warm ocean goodbye gloomy California!
